This document has been prepared and published based on the experience and learning of the “Helping Young Chepang Women Leaders to Promote Gender-Responsive Governance in Nepal” Implemented by DEC-Nepal with the support of The United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF). SAP-Nepal contributed to the making of this document as a capacity building partner. This document was prepared as a reference document for policymakers and other relevant stakeholders that could be used for the upliftment of this extremely marginalized community. This document highlights and provides the ground reality of the economic, social, and political status of the backward Chepang community.

This handbook has been prepared and published based on the experience and learning of the “Helping Young Chepang Women Leaders to Promote Gender-Responsive Governance in Nepal” implemented by DEC-Nepal with the support of The United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF). SAP-Nepal contributed to making this handbook as a capacity-building partner. This handbook focuses on the process of budget tracking at the local level to make the local government accountable to the public. The book also highlights the steps of the program and budget planning timeline as well as an inclusive process where the community can play a role in influencing the budget planning process.

This flipchart has been prepared and published based on the experience and learning of the “Helping Young Chepang Women Leaders to Promote Gender-Responsive Governance in Nepal” implemented by DEC-Nepal with the support of The United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF). This flipchart has been specifically designed for local women groups to enhance their knowledge of gender-responsive governance including illustrations because the majority of Chepang women were not literate.
