4th Nepal Bangladesh Youth Conclave (26-27 Dec 2021)

The two-day conference was conducted in collaboration with the Youth development center, Sanitation Environment and Ecology, and South Asia Partnership Nepal and Land out Future and in association with the Embassy of Bangladesh in Nepal and Nepal Tourism Board under the theme “Build Back Better”.  The event benefitted 40 youths from Nepal and 20 youths from Bangladesh. The event was conducted with the main objective to create a platform to share their experiences and knowledge on pertinent global issues along with the core objective of promoting academic tourism.

The chief guest, Dr. Shivamaya Tumbhahangphe( Honorable minister of Land management), and Special guest, His Excellency Ambassador of Bangladesh, Mr. Salahuddin Noman Chaudary, talked about the friendly relations between both nations and the prospect of future strengthening of trade, tourism, and other sectors between the nations along with encouraging youth engagement in national affairs. In the panel sessions, the youths had a rich discussions on pertinent global issues including environmental protection and sustainable development, youth policies and meaningful engagement, and UNSDG and 2030 Agenda for youth.

The Closing Event was hosted by the Embassy of Bangladesh in Nepal. In the closing event, all the delegates were welcomed by the embassy with gifts, and closing remarks were delivered by His Excellence Ambassador of Bangladesh to Nepal, Mr. Salahuddin Noman Chowdhury. In his closing remarks, the ambassador thanked the chair of the event for conducting such an informative conference and creating a wonderful platform for the youths from different countries to connect and form a network along with discussing the pertinent issues of the world. The youths are the future leaders and youths have an important role in addressing global issues, he added.
